作品說明 Introduction
《一起去看海》靈感源自於小時候一個人在家裡看電視、玩玩具的時光。小時候家裡開店，大人們都很忙，要練習放學一個人走回家、寫作業、一個人玩。雖然有時會覺得孤單，但長大後想起來卻是一段自己和自己相處的美好時光。這本書表面上看起來是一趟兩個小夥伴冒險去看海的旅程，實際上卻是小主人翁一個人在房間裡和玩具與畫筆們的想像冒險。那些旅行的片段看似真實又虛幻，因為「只要有夢，多遠都能到達」。
《Allons Voir La Mer》(Shall We See The Sea?) is my 4th author-illustrator picturebook. The story is inspired by my childhood time. I remember when I was a kid, I liked to play with my dolls at home instead of going out to play with other kids. Sometimes I judged myself as a weirdo but I do enjoy the time to be alone and play dolls with my own imagination. In these series of illustrations, it looks like a journey of two little friends, but in fact it’s an imaginative adventure of a little boy. I try to express the possibilities that imagination can bring and believe that “With dreams, you can reach anywhere you want.”
