語言之間的轉換常因個人理解、語句結構及文化差異而造成誤解，即使經由翻譯要真正融會貫通依舊十分困難。我思考著如何讓一個語言支離破碎，只要讓它環遊世界一周，巴別塔就倒塌了。於是我將《創世記》巴別塔的故事中文版以Google翻譯不斷轉換成62種不同的語言，中途翻譯回中文藉此對造故事演化、變形的路徑。
The conversion between languages often leads to misunderstandings due to personal interpretations, sentence structures, and cultural differences. It is still very difficult to fully understand even through translation. I wonder how to make a language fragmented, by letting it travel around the world, the Tower of Babel would collapse. Thus, I continuously translated the Chinese version of the story of the Tower of Babel from Genesis into 62 different languages by using Google Translate, and translated it back to Chinese to compare the transformation from the original version.
